Midweek Highlights

New communication tool:

 

We are looking into working with an online webtool to streamline information and

to have a way to email more efficiently.  Iwantsandy.com offers us the ability to

be more organized by sending out reminders, collate emails and information.

 

Schedules, Schedules, and more Schedules…

 

Each branch of the church will be working on creating schedules. The children’s ministry has created a rotation schedule. Worship/Tech has the goal of creating

a schedule for singers, practice times, and sound/video tech. Hospitality is in discussion of creating a rotating schedule that would dovetail with the children’s ministry. Along with schedules, each group will be fine tuning their respective

SOP’s ( Standard Operating Procedures) and the goal is to have manuals for each group in the near future.  Amy has already created a template

for the hospitality tables.

 

Suggested Idea: Utilizing the Total Money Makeover plan… when to begin???

 

Plans to advertise in the Spirit newspaper are underway.

 

Two week goal: Business Cards and to get the website up and running

 

 

Worship/Tech goals:

*    Train on audio-video hookup.

*    We have a new soundboard.

*    Consistent practice schedules.

*    Team is picking out songs for the next few weeks.

*    Worship notes copied.

*    Creating an order of worship.

*    Determine practice place and time.

 

Children’s Ministry:

 

We now have Alpha-Omega teams to help with the setup, transition, and breakdown of the children’s areas. Also, there will be a supper time for the

children at 5:30p.  Children’s ministry is broken down into 3 age groups:

Nursery, Boz-Preschool, and Kidmo.

 

*      Tagging system. The current one under discussion will cost approx. $500.

*      As an interim measure a sticker system may be used.

*      Background checks for those working in the Children’s ministry and other

Leaders who will have contact with children. Background check will cost

$119 annually and for each individual background it will cost approximately

$7.

*      Only women will be changing diapers and escorting children to bathrooms.

*      The children’s ministry also handed out manuals for their program.

 

v     A master list was requested for the children’s ministry and the hospitality team

v     Background checks and the tagging system are important in creating a secure environment for church members and visitors alike.

 

Setup/breakdown team:

New time: 4:00pm

Due to the success as of late, the setup team can now start at 4:00p.

New time: 4:45pm
